Burns Night At Roselea Court Care Home

Burns Day at Roselea Court Care Home was a wonderful celebration of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns. Residents, staff and guests gathered together to honour his legacy in true Scottish style. In the evening, our haggis was proudly piped in by our talented piper, Callan, setting the tone for a traditional and joyful occasion. The address to the haggis was performed by John from the Burns Society, who delivered it with great spirit. His granddaughter Poppy followed with a touching recital of the poem “Sare Wee Finger,” which she performed beautifully and with great confidence.

Our talented chef Jack and his dedicated kitchen team prepared a feast fit for a king. Guests enjoyed classic haggis, neeps and tatties, followed by a delicious helping of cranachan, Irn Bru and shortbread for dessert. The flavours and presentation were praised by everyone who attended.
As the evening continued, spirits were high as we danced the night away to the lively songs of Scotland performed by Michael Patterson, also known as The Kiltyman. Smiles were everywhere and our VIPs had a truly memorable night enjoying music, friendship and tradition. It was a Burns celebration to remember at Roselea Court Care Home.
Join us next year at Roselea Court Care Home as we celebrate Burns Night once again, filled with Scottish tradition, delicious food and joyful company. Don’t miss another unforgettable evening of culture and community!
