Our Home Manager Walks 30 Miles for Dementia
On the 1st of September, our Home Manager at Roselea Court, Helen, put on her trainers and began the journey towards her goal of walking 30 miles for the month in support of a charity close to her heart – DementiaUK
Helen so far has walked every single day to be able to build up to this goal, sometimes with one of the residents as a companion! On this particular walk, Helen was accompanied by one of our lovely residents Wendy.
Due to working in the care sector for so many years, Dementia UK has become more of an increasingly close cause to Helen's heart and as a home, Roselea Court Care Home in Stirling prides itself on providing unrivalled care and support to those living with dementia, as well as those closest to them.
Helen is not taking donations for her cause as she has donated all funds herself. At Roselea court, we encourage both staff and residents to be proud of what they are passionate about and we support people with all care needs in getting involved with activities that we hold in and out of the home.
All of us in the Roselea Court community wish Helen good luck with the rest of her walking and look forward to celebrating her fantastic efforts with her at the end of September.
