Stirling

This easy-to-reach bridge is beautifully designed and is the perfect backdrop to any picture.

Just a two-minute walk from Stirling Castle the guided prison tours take its brave guests on a journey through the history of local crime and punishment as they explore the cells before taking in the outstanding views from our rooftop observation tower.

For a fun family day out, Blair Drummond Safari Park. The park is home to over 350 animals – many of which wander freely – including giraffes, lions, elephants, tigers, and meerkats. Families can also spend quality time together at Kings Park; a skate park, sports facilities, walking trails, and a coffee bar make it the perfect place to spend an afternoon.

Falkirk

Callendar House is a 4-star visitor attraction, a stunning 14th century, French chateau-styled house, complete with a working Georgian kitchen, visitor tea room and fantastic kids play park. Set in the nationally important historic landscape of Callendar Park which contains a section of the Roman Antonine Wall, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-visit for all the family. Dollar Park & the Walled Gardens is based centrally and boasts spectacular flower displays throughout the year, regardless of the season. A large Victorian two-storey mansion can be found within the park’s boundaries, which has its own café and a pirate-themed park so this beautiful part of Falkirk can be enjoyed by all ages.

For train enthusiasts, a visit to Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway is a must. Here, visitors can enjoy a 10-mile scenic return steam train journey along the Forth Estuary. They are able able to visit the Museum of Scottish Railways and look out for special events, including visits by Thomas the Tank engine. 

Perth

Perth is laced with breathtaking architecture, inspiring surrounding landscapes and an intriguing royal history. Located on the banks of the River Tay, visitors to Perth can experience an array of adventures, whether they choose to take a leisurely walk through the countryside or soak up the thriving atmosphere the city offers. One of the most famous spots is Kinnoull Hill, where views atop this hill are nothing short of majestic. This beautiful part of Peth is abundant with wildlife, such as red squirrels, owls and other birdlife. The River Tay is the perfect addition to any trip to Perth; this waterway curves from the west of Scotland towards the east and ends at Dundee, making it Scotland’s longest river.

From farmer’s markets to culture and fashion shopping trips, George Street is a must-visit for those who enjoy shopping punctuated with coffee stops and quirky discoveries. Perth is also described as ‘Perthshire’s local food scene’ where mouth-watering freshly baked bread, some of the finest Scottish gins and cheeses, and the rich smell of coffee beans roasting, to name just a few can be enjoyed.

Scone Palace breathes history like nowhere else in Scotland and is a must-see tourist attraction. The palace is home to the Earls of Mansfield and is available to guests as a wedding venue, a place to explore beautiful gardens, visit for family events or stop by and enjoy home-baked goods at the ‘Palace Kitchen’. With so much to offer, the 47-minute car journey to Perth is well worth the adventures that await your arrival.
