Roselea Court’s Own Minibus
In 2023 we set Roselea Court Care Home some goals;
- Gain a Trishaw
- Get a Minibus
With the support of our Parent Company, we have completed both and been able to purchase our own Minibus for Roselea Court Care Home.
As we get older, we know how important it is to be able to get out and about into our society, its a vital way to stay part of our local community. Not being able to travel can impact the mental wellbeing of people, causing further issues.
Therefore having a Minibus would enable those who are in their later years to be able to commute to places, allowing them to enjoy life whilst being able to experience many community activities. This is why here at Roselea Court Care Home, we felt that this was a vital part of what our aim was, to support and promote community involvement for our VIPs.
We understand that within our care home, our residents all have different needs and requirements that need to be met. Alongside personal care and nursing care, it's highly important for us to also look after our residents social health and wellbeing. One of the best ways that we can do this and meet our residents needs is through a range of internal and external activities which can help improve their quality of life, providing some much needed structure in their lives.
The benefits of this includes:
- Better quality of life
- Regular activity for our residents can lower the risk of heart disease, strokes and dementia
- Moving around more also helps residents with thinking skills, decision making and problem solving
- Reduces the feeling of loneliness, boredom and stress
We understand that if our residents are not given enough access to a purposeful and meaningful activity within their lifestyle then there mental and physical health can be affected. Which is why we always go above and beyond for all of our residents to ensure they life the best life with us and a huge part of that is having a fully equipped Minibus taking residents on regular trips to attractive local countrysides, nearby amenities and other places of interest to support and improve the mental health and wellbeing of our residents. This also supports our VIPs to get out and about, not only within the local community but further afield as well, taking advantage of our beautiful country.
