Augusts Art Therapy
All of our residents at Roselea Court love arts and crafts and recently took part in some relaxing morning painting with Creative Mojo.
The session leader comes into our home from time to time with their paints and a backdrop and then lets the residents get creative as they wish, with a helping hand available if they want to ask for tips or inspiration.
There is undoubtedly no right or wrong when it comes to art therapy and our arts and crafts sessions do a great job of encouraging residents to express themselves. One specific project they took part in was a nod to the final days of summer with a beautiful cruise liner. The residents were thrilled to see that the contributions they made were also transformed into a colourful collage.
Art therapy has many benefits that never go unrecognised at Roselea Court Care Home in Stirling. A few of them include encouraging self-growth and inner strength and expressing your feelings with no limit. It is a great way to communicate feelings and relieve any stress or negative feelings you may have. It can also be used to express happiness and many sessions evoke past memories making it a great form or reminiscense.
At Roselea Court, our team is devoted to providing our residents with a wider activities programme. The programme allows residents to make full use of our facilities and get the most out of their day. The variety of benefits is endless and we work hard to ensure residents enjoy every moment.
If you would like to find out more regarding our activities programme or arts and crafts sessions at Roselea Court Care Home, then please feel free to get in touch and we will be more than happy to help.
