A Diamond Celebration at Roselea Care Home
It was a day full of joy, love, and happy surprises at Roselea Care Home as we came together to celebrate the incredible milestone of Mr and Mrs Jarvie's 60th wedding anniversary. Everyone loved being part of this heartwarming event, where the team pulled out all the stops to make sure the Jarvies had a day to remember.
A Special Surprise for a Special Couple
On 12th September 2024, Mr and Mrs Jarvie, two of our lovely residents, were treated to a surprise Afternoon Tea Party in honour of their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Their son Scott, who lives in Spain, got in touch with us via email to let us know about his parents' exciting milestone, and while he couldn’t be there in person, he wanted to ensure that his parents were able to celebrate 60 loving years together.
With Scott’s heartfelt message as the spark, the Roselea team quickly got to work. We decided to plan a surprise party to celebrate 60 years of love, laughter, and companionship. We knew how much it would mean to them both, especially as Scott couldn't be there. Our aim was simple: to bring a smile to their faces and make them feel extra special on their big day. And, what a day it was!
Diamond Themed Party
The dining area was transformed with elegant decorations—shimmering golds and silvers that reflected the Diamond Anniversary theme perfectly. The table was set for a classic afternoon tea, complete with celebratory treats.
As the surprise was revealed, the look on Mr and Mrs Jarvie’s faces was priceless!
Creating a Sense of Community
Our anniversary tea didn’t just bring joy to the Jarvies; it uplifted the whole Roselea community. Our other VIPs were delighted to join in the celebration, with many sharing their own fond memories.
